A.7 Configuring SIP UDP Transport Type and Fax

Signaling Method

The procedure below describes how to configure the fax signaling method for MP-11x.

 To configure the fax signaling method:

1. Open the SIP General Parameters page (Configuration tab > VoIP menu > SIP

Definitions > General Parameters).

2. From the 'Fax Signaling Method' drop-down list, verify that this parameter is set to No

Fax.

3. From the 'SIP Transport Type' drop-down list, verify that this parameter is set to UDP.

4. In the 'SIP UDP Local Port' field, verify that this parameter is set to 5060.

5. In the 'SIP Destination Port' field, verify that this parameter is set to 5060

corresponding to the UDP listening port of the device (the SBC entity).

6. Click Submit to apply your settings.
